A redevelopment project handled by Riker Danzig’s Real Estate Group was honored with the “Mixed-Use Deal of the Year” award at NAIOP New Jersey’s 32nd Annual Commercial Real Estate Awards gala on May 16, 2019. The project, Ironside Newark, is a restoration and conversion of a historic 107-year old warehouse into 456,000 square feet over five floors of loft-style offices. The ground floor will include retail and restaurant space at the corner of Edison Place and McCarter Highway in Newark. Riker Danzig attorneys Cathy Giuliana, Nicholas Racioppi, head of Riker Danzig’s Real Estate Group, and James Maggio led the team for client Edison Properties, which developed the property.
