Tod S. Chasin is Counsel in Riker Danzig’s Commercial Litigation and Bankruptcy & Corporate Restructuring practices, resident in our New York office.
He has extensive experience in creditors’ rights and complex commercial litigation in New York and New Jersey state and federal courts at both the trial and appellate levels, as well as in bankruptcy courts.
Tod represents major corporations in a wide variety of commercial litigation claims, including disputes involving corporate control, fiduciary duty, real property litigation, trade secret and restrictive covenant disputes, and construction and suretyship claims.
Tod’s practice in creditors’ rights and bankruptcy litigation includes regular representation of institutional lenders and financiers in inter-creditor disputes, commercial loan enforcement, and lender liability claims. He also regularly represents creditor committees, lenders, and other constituents in bankruptcy cases. On occasion, Tod also represents commercial debtors in bankruptcy cases.
Tod also has significant intellectual property litigation experience, representing domestic and international manufacturers of generic pharmaceuticals in Hatch-Waxman patent infringement and invalidity actions, as well as in complex trademark and unfair competition litigation, including proceedings before the United States Trademark Trial and Appeal Board.
