Riker Danzig Scherer Hyland & Perretti LLP is pleased to announce that Joseph Asaro and Peter M. Perkowski, Jr. have become associates with the firm.
Joseph Asaro, of Bloomfield, practices in Riker Danzig's labor and employment group. Mr. Asaro is a commercial litigator who has represented clients in state and federal courts and in NASD arbitrations. In addition to employment matters, he has experience in securities litigation and intellectual property litigation. Mr. Asaro earned his J.D. from the University of Virginia School of Law in 2001, where he was Editor-in-Chief of Virginia Sports and Entertainment Law Journal. He earned his B.A. degree from the University of South Carolina in 1997. Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Asaro was an associate at Carter Ledyard & Milburn LLP. He is admitted to practice in New York.
Peter M. Perkowski, Jr., of West Orange, practices in Riker Danzig's insurance and commercial litigation group. He has particular experience in insurance coverage and commercial litigation. Mr. Perkowski earned his J.D., cum laude, from Seton Hall University School of Law in 2003 where he was Associate Editor of the Constitutional Law Journal. He earned his B.A. from Montclair State University in 2000. He is a former Judicial Law Clerk to Hon. David S. Cramp, Presiding Judge of the Civil Division of Morris County, New Jersey. Prior to joining Riker Danzig, he was an associate with Cuyler Burk of Parsippany. Mr. Perkowski is admitted to practice in New Jersey, New York and before the U.S. Courts of Appeals for the Second, Third and Federal Circuits.
