Maha M. Kabbash

Bio

Maha M. Kabbash is a Partner in the Firm’s Products Liability, Toxic Tort and Mass Tort Practice. She has been a key player in its pharmaceutical drug, medical device, and tobacco litigation practice, and has represented major companies in both centralized litigations and individual lawsuits.

She has extensive experience with defense of medical device manufacturers through every stage of litigation through trial, including in particular the regulatory and medical components of device litigation. She has argued before NJ’s appellate courts regarding the admissibility of trial evidence regarding FDA’s 510k clearance process for Class II medical devices and the availability of punitive damages under NJ’s Product Liability Act for such devices.

She played a central role in a five-month trial of a groundwater contamination case brought under CERCLA, in which the client prevailed at trial. For several years, Maha handled numerous consumer lawsuits in New Jersey on behalf of a leading computer manufacturer, achieving favorable settlements, dismissals, and trial victories. Through Maha’s wide-ranging experience, she has developed expertise in federal and state court practice, on both the trial and appellate levels.

She currently serves on Riker Danzig’s Management and Diversity Committees. She has also extensively volunteered with local and national civil rights organizations and serves on her church’s Parish Council.

Maha received her undergraduate degree from Georgetown University, School of Foreign Service, cum laude, in 1994. She obtained her law degree from American University, Washington College of Law, magna cum laude, in 1998.
