Opeyemi D. Akinde

Bio

Opeyemi D. Akinde is an Associate in the Firm’s Commercial Litigation Group.

Opeyemi is experienced in representing individual, governmental and corporate clients in a wide variety of commercial litigation matters. She frequently litigates in the areas of contract and shareholder disputes, as well as various statutory and common law claims. She is well-versed in the areas of employment law, intellectual property, and community associations.

Opeyemi received her J.D. from Rutgers Law School in 2020. While in law school, she served as Co-President of the Labor and Employment Law Society, Secretary of the Moot Court Board, and was a member of the National Trial Team. Additionally, Opeyemi served as a judicial intern for the Honorable Esther Salas, U.S.D.J., in the U.S. District Court for the District of New Jersey.  Upon graduation, Opeyemi was awarded the Myron Harkavy Prize for Most Promise as a Trial Lawyer.  She received a B.A. in Political Science from Rutgers University School of Arts and Sciences in 2017.

Following law school, Opeyemi served as a Law Clerk for the Honorable Benjamin C. Telsey, A.J.S.C., Assignment Judge of Vicinage 15 (Gloucester, Cumberland and Salem Counties) in the Superior Court of New Jersey.
